DIRECTOR'S NOTES: SOGNI is a short film composed of dreamlike stories, developed in the shared space of the workshop, through impressions and insights into the activity of private and missing desires, inner vision, and the clash between rationality and the unconscious. We live in an unnatural density. We devalue inner images in favor of artificial ones. Fantasy declines if it moves away from desire. According to Jorge Louis Borges, dreams constitute the most complex and ancient of literary genres. The dream is the genesis of narration. Starting from a reflection on the theme of dreams, with the participating actors, a kaleidoscope of visual stories was built, episodes that traverse the fleetingness of time, the nightmare of death, the distance from affections, and the trauma of psychic annihilation.
